Dear Disciple Club Privacy Policy

Dear Disciple Club is run by Lawrence Ministries, LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Dear Disciple Club website and apps, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to rachel@discipleco.org.

What we collect

When you create an account:

  • your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time link or code
  • your name, if you give it

When you become a member:

  • your billing details, handled by Stripe (on the website) or by Apple or Google (in the apps). We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your membership status, plan, and renewal date.
  • if you joined before opening day, your email and first name are added to our email list with Flodesk so we can send you welcome and opening-day emails. You can unsubscribe from any email.

When you use the club:

  • your journal entries and voice notes. These are private to you. Rachel and the club team do not read or listen to them.
  • what you post in the community: forum posts, replies, comments on daily studies, and mentions of other members. Other members can see these.
  • your profile: display name and profile photo, if you add one. You can hide your profile from the member directory.
  • your reading progress, completed days, reading track, saved verses, bookmarks, translation choice, and rewards
  • reports you make about other members' posts, and members you choose to hide

If you use "Speak to transcribe," your browser or phone's own speech service turns your words into text, and that service may process your speech online under its own privacy policy. Recordings you save as voice notes are stored by us.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising trackers or sell your information.

How we use it

To run the club: sign you in, show your studies and progress, keep your journal and voice notes, run the community, handle your membership, and contact you about your account. To keep the community safe: review reports and remove posts that break the community guidelines.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run the club:

  • Cloudflare (hosting, database, and storage for photos and voice notes)
  • Supabase (sign-in)
  • Stripe, Apple, or Google (payments)
  • Flodesk (email)

We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

Some pages include affiliate links (for example, to Bibles or audio Bible services). If you buy through one, that company may know you came from us. We don't send them your personal information.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your journal, voice notes, profile, photo, progress, saved verses, and your community posts and comments. We keep billing records that tax law requires us to keep, and Stripe, Apple, and Google keep their own payment records under their policies.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time. See discipleco.org/support, or email rachel@discipleco.org with the subject "Delete my account." Deleting your account doesn't cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Cancel those in your phone's subscription settings.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your posts, comments, voice notes, and profile photo, hide your profile, and unsubscribe from emails. You can ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by emailing rachel@discipleco.org.

Children

Dear Disciple Club is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell members by email or in the club.
